Welcome to youandmemusicanddance!
On this site are music for dance texts that you can use and change for your own use, and add chapters and articles to if you want, for others to use.
Goals of this site:
1. To provide freely available text materials that can be added to, or adapted for your own needs.
2. Make the development of the basic texts a community project, rather than modeled after the individually-authored textbook. No copyright hassles, no rights issues.
How to use this site:
1. The original copies of the Golden Book of Music and Dance and the Golden Book of Rhythms are provided as freely-downloadable PDF files.
2. They are also provided as editable wiki pages, so that you can download them and easily adapt them to your own needs.
3. Please add other articles that might be of general use to dancers or in a music for dance class.
4. If you'd like to suggest improvements to the original Golden Books, make your edited version and leave it after the original version.
5. The idea is that this site is not just continually changed by many people's ideas, but that it grows with many articles and possibly many versions of the original text.
6. You can also as a dancer or musician make requests for the type of articles or chapters that would be most useful to you. Hopefully this will stimulate others to write and take part in this creative and community textbook on music for dance.
